University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC)




University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) was established in September
2002, under the proactive and visionary leadership of Emeritus Professor V.K. Samaranayake,
the founding Director of University of Colombo School of Computing(UCSC)  which is now a
reputed faculty with national and international affiliations and a strong industry relationship,
which has contributed to its high employability.
The primary activity of UCSC is to provide industry focused undergraduate B.Sc. degrees
programmes in Computer Science and Information Systems to students via the University Grant
Commission, currently, it also provides knowledge and services to external students at both
undergraduate and postgraduate level in Information and Communication Technology for
carriers as Software Developers, Systems Analysts, Network Administrators, Database
Administrators, Web Developers, IT Managers, IT Strategic Planners and IT Policy Makers.


IEEE Women In Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of UCSC


IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is an international organization which is established
in order to promote and inspire all the women around the world to step towards in the world of
Engineering.IEEE WIE student branch of University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) was
started in order to improve the women's contribution towards electrical and electronic
engineering among the universities and schools while empowering women of all the spheres in
the society to stand up high in their respected fields.
